Tim resides in Safety Harbor, Florida,(about 15 miles North of Seminole) having moved to Florida in 1974. He is married, with 5 children, ages 35 to 10. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany, Vietnam, and stateside with the 82nd Airborne from 1970 through 1974, leaving the Military as a Captain. He attended Cardinal Gibbons High School in Baltimore, Maryland, then the University of Dayton, in Dayton, Ohio, where he received a BA in Politcal Science with a minor in Military Sciences, and then after his military service, attended Stetson Law School in St. Petersburg, Florida, graduating in December of 1977 with a J.D. (Juris Doctor).
He is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida, before all Florida Courts, and the United States District Court for the Middle Distict of the State of Florida. He is Board Certified in Real Estate Law by the Florida Bar (1991) and has been recertified three times (1996, 2001 and 2006). Mr. Schuler is a member of the Florida Bar, and its Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section, as well as a member of the Clearwater (Florida) Bar Association. He was a member and Chairman of the Circuit 6E Grievance Committee for the Florida Bar from 1996 - 1999.
Mr. Schuler is the 2007-2008 District Govenor of the Rotary Club of Seminole Lake, and has been a member since 1982. During his time of service, Tim has served as President twice, has been named Club Rotarian of the year twice, District Rotarian of the year once, and once received a Rotary International commendation for Service Above Self. He has served on numerous committees for the Club and District.
Tim also is a member of the Greater Seminole Area Chamber of Commerce, and served as its President in 1996, named Merit Award winner twice, and has been named "Mr. Seminole" in 2001.
He is also a graduate of "Leadership Pinellas", an Adjunct Professor at St. Petersburg College, School Advisory Board Chairman at McMullen-Booth Elementary School, and was appointed by the Pinellas County Commission as Chairman of Seminole Fire Rescue during an interim period while the department was being reorganized.
